Mike has been involved in musical performance for over 30 years and has played at many prestigious events from weddings and conferences to band events at the MEN Arena.
He has been musical director for numerous productions and societies in the Cheshire area. His productions of Stephen Sondhiem's 'Sweeney Todd' and Frank Wildhorn's 'Jekyll and Hyde' were recognised as NODA award winning shows.
Mike can be seen playing keyboard for 'Chic Out' a tribute act celebrating the music of Nile Rodgers throughout the UK. Mike is also the pianist for 'Bring on the swing' a Cheshire based swing group.
His compositional credits have included work with BBC Radio 3, "Icon" - the Marilyn Monroe Musical at Wimbledon Theatre and more recently, several musical commissions for Cheshire based festivals including the musical journey "Threads" composed for Macclesfield's Barnaby Festival.
Mike spends part of his week classroom teaching and the remainder, visiting schools teaching piano. He has a variety of experience of different educational environments which allows him to consistently strive to support, inspire and motivate students in the most creative and exciting ways possible.
Mike is regularly approached and booked privately to play for weddings and corporate events, offering comprehensive packages, which are fully customised repertoires with full client consultation.
Mike's musical standard, professional personable manner and attire is consistently held in high regard with all those he has worked with and is something that remains at the forefront of all work that he undertakes.
